The design intent for this Sullivan’s Island residence was to incorporate the simple, traditional massing of island beach houses with contemporary detailing that draws upon the nautical history of the surroundings.
Durability and ease of maintenance led to the selections of the exterior material palette that include powder coated metal roofing, marine grade stainless steel railing system, and cementitious lap siding. The transitional detailing continues inside as rich wood and stone is rendered with minimalist sensitivity. |
